Between the Tamiami Trail and Alligator Alley, from about Krome Ave to Immokalee, there's a vast network of fresh water channels, sawgrass blinds, tree islands, and tradional Gladesfolk and Miccosukee buildings where the hunters hunt, the ducks are smart, and the air is fresh and freedom reigns. Here goes a Miami bird hunter getting back to shore from an expedition. Check the specialized engine on the shallow water skiff, the palm fronds, the air boat alert flag, the camo, the ammo, and the kablammo. This is the north side of the trail unto the Big Cypress state park area, and on the south aide is Everglades National Park. True Florida outdoors
