Old Testament Proverbs

With any attention comes all kinds of criticism, attacks, and even lies, times in which ancient wisdom from the court of King Solomon The Wise can provide crucial perspective.

Take this awesome proverb, for instance, which says in the Tanakh,  that a man's way may be tortuous and strange though his actions are blameless and proper.

Tortuous means full of twists and turns. I had to look that up. Pretty obscure word, but accurate.

How does this apply to me? I'm an independent author using my own creativity to achieve my goals in the face of adversity from the very people who i thought would be most likely to recognize and reward it, finding instead their attempts to stifle it, undermine it, and claim it as their own.

But ancient wisdom also lays out very clearly how false weights and measures, the concept of wealth, and the machinations of wickedry work hand in hand to produce an altogether different outcome for those parties. And those outcomes will be fulfilled without my help, interference, or even involvement.

Now, i'm certianly not perfect, and have often gone against conventional wisdom, been good and bad, done right and wrong, hopefully learned better ways from a few strong lessons, and maybe even taught some, but my funny way of doing things and general activities are basically the opposite of what some of the people i have beaten to the punch may portray them as. Which is a funny way for them to go about losing.

Keep that under your hat and remember it.
