Man, lucky i got to grow up in a unique unincorporated location of miami in the 1990s, one mile from the u, one mile from south miami, one mile from coral gables, and one mile from city of miami -- it's a small place you never heard of and don't know nothin about how fun it was -- five minute bike ride to Miami City, Coral Gables, and South Miami City from the age of six years old when i started my currently 51,000 Dade County lifetime bike miles so far. I had an epic adventurous time growing up fishing, swimming, bridge jumping, party crashing, storm riding, and lime cave running all over Dade County with a wild group of us and we all started riding the bus and the rail from around eight years old all over downtown and south beach. i was riding out to The U from a young age and remember even when they had free, all ages, open to the public concerts right there in the courtyard with bands like Brethren, Shai Hulud, Level 9, Poison The Well and other south florida bands right before their sounds hit the rest of the united states. I always like that place and they even have one of my books in their permanent library. So respect to The U
